Embracing the tropical lifestyle

Featuring an open-concept living room, you have no option but to embrace the tropical way of living, and you will love it, too! Beneath the woven high-vaulted ceiling stands a handsome timber dining table and antique Balinese sofas. The coziest corner is the TV nook behind a teak wooden-carved frame taken from an authentic Javanese Joglo House. Curl up with something to read and something to snack on and watch a movie or two together in the evening after dinner.

Paradise-inspired garden

The garden is like a tropical oasis where you can swim and sunbathe, surrounded by leafy palms, trees and other tropical greenery. Ponds with fountains, a sun deck with lounge beds, and not just 1 but 2 swimming pools shaped like lagoons, the outdoor area is a wonderful place inspired by paradise, and it is guarded by a hand-carved Buddha sculpture 24/7. In addition to the dining area in the living room, Villa Tirta Naga also features a dining bale in the garden for a more casual setting with an alfresco feel to it by the side of the 2 swimming pools (1 for the adults and 1 for the kids? Why not!).

2 spacious bedrooms with AC

Villa Tirta Naga has got 2 spacious bedrooms tucked in separate buildings to give everyone the privacy they need. The master suite is accessible through antique double doors with traditional woodcarvings from the main living room. The room features a hard wooden floor and a thatched ceiling and is furnished with antiques and oriental carpets. The en-suite bathroom is like a garden with a rain shower and a large stone bathtub for daily cleansing under open skies. Wonderful!

The second bedroom is located in a stand-alone circular pavilion with a little terrace where you can have coffee in the morning before plunging into the pool. The room is furnished with a double bed and a sofa that transforms into a cot for families with babies. The bedroom has its own private en-suite bathroom with an outdoor garden shower.

Hidden away in a quiet alley, the location is superb, steps away from Oberoi Road, KU DE TA and Seminyak Beach. Go have coffee and brunch at Revolver Espresso, La Lucciola, Starbucks, Sea Circus or Sisterfields. Perhaps grab a vegan meal at Kynd Community or Ingka Cafe.

Shop at Seminyak Village and all the boutiques on Oberoi Road, and have cocktails at  Mrs Sippy, Potato Head Beach Club or La Plancha on Double Six Beach ( you must go here at sunset). You can also get a taxi ( 10 min away) to the new mega beach club Cafe Del Mar at Batu Belig Beach or Atlas Beach Fest in Berawa for sunset cocktails and fine dining.

If you’re coming with kids, you can treat them to a day out at the Waterbom Park or Bali Zoo, or perhaps even a few surf lessons at Seminyak Beach, where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. For dinner, there are burgers at Grill’d, BossMan or Johnny Rockets opposite Seminyak Village.

Make sure you go to Rob Peetoom or Sundari Day Spa in Petitenget, Spring Day Spa or The Blow Bar along Eat Street. Follow this up with an afternoon browsing the art galleries, homewares & jewellery stores in the chic Oberoi area. For more shopping options, Legian is nearby, where you can bargain with locals for souvenirs. And Kuta’s Kartika Plaza area has large shopping centres like Discovery Shopping & Lippo Mall.
