Villa Marang is a large colonial-style 6-bedroom Canggu holiday villa (sleeps 14) within easy walking distance from Canggu’s famous tourist hotspots like Deus ex Machina, Old Mans and The Lawn Beach Club. 6 modern bedrooms

The 6 bedrooms are all spread out throughout the villa. Four of the bedrooms are located in the main house. One bedroom is on the ground floor, while the other 3 are upstairs. All bedrooms have been decorated with gorgeous Balinese touches and boast king-size beds. In addition, each bedroom has a luxuriously fitted-out private ensuite bathroom and bathtub for a relaxing soak after exploring the amazing Canggu. The ground floor en suite has an outdoor private en suite in a tropical intimate garden setting to add to the tropical holiday vibe. The other 2 bedrooms at Villa Marang are separated in the guest house across the pool (great for teenagers and grandparents travelling). In addition, 1 king bedroom and a bunk bedroom sit at opposite ends of the building for extra privacy, and both have fully private and gorgeous en suite bathrooms.

Living areas

Villa Marang is the ideal villa for large groups or families, with an open-plan design for the dining and living areas. A massive dining table as the centrepiece can comfortably seat 16 guests for special dinner parties, birthdays or events. In addition, there’s also a fully equipped modern kitchen where guests can prepare some snacks for the kids or let the chef prepare delicious meals for the group. Villa Marang also has a  billiard room and TV room to entertain the children or for those family movie nights.

The friendly and professional staff at Villa Marang are on hand to make your stay blissful. There are housekeepers, gardeners, swimming pool attendants, a private butler and a villa manager who can attend to all your holiday needs. Fancy an in-villa massage, BBQ night, a dinner party, or cooking classes? Or arrange some dinner reservations, tours or activities for the kids; the staff are on hand to quickly arrange this for you.

Around Villa Marang (near cafes, beach and fabulous day spas)

From Villa Marang, you are a short walk from  Jalan Batu Bolong, which hosts many of Canggu’s most popular restaurants, beach clubs, day spas, and hip vegan cafes.

Day Spas. Ladies, the villa is close to Canggu’s best-known days spa, where you can get your hair and nails done, waxing, facials, and fabulous Bali massages. Head to MYNX, Spring Day Spa on Jl Batu Bolong, AMO or Therapy Day Spa and Tonic at Echo Beach for the best treatments.

Shopping. Canggu has some great little boutiques where you can buy homewares, jewellery, swimwear and clothes. Make your way to Jalan Batu Bolong and start walking around. There are also a couple of local markets where you can buy souvenirs from local vendors – check out Love Anchor markets, which are open daily and within walking distance. For more shopping options, your villa manager can arrange transport to take the group to Seminyak’s Eat Street or the famous Oberoi area, where there are more shops and art galleries. For a fun day out, head to Kuta or Legian, where you can bargain with locals for souvenirs.

Beach clubs. Canggu is the beach club capital of Bali, and Villa Marang is in the heart of all the action. Make sure you visit famous beach clubs like Old Man’s, The Lawn or The Times, where you can watch the best sunset in Bali while sipping a few cocktails and enjoying some fine dining or relaxing for the day by the beach. Other beach clubs nearby worth visiting are La Brisa at Echo Beach, Atlas Beach Fest or the popular Finns at Berawa Beach. There’s KU DE TA, Mano Beach House and Potato Head in Seminyak.

Cafes & restaurants. The villa is close to too many restaurants and cafes to mention where you can grab a coffee or take the kids out for a meal. Our favourites are Secret Spot, Crate (perfect for the vegans), the famous Deus ex Machina, Mason, Milk and Madu (great for the kids), Kynd, Warung Tiga and the popular Revolver (for the best coffee).

Travelling with kids?  Take them to Old Man’s Beach for a surf lesson where you can hire boards and instructors by the hour. Or, to the Finns Recreation Club in Berawa, with waterslides, ten-pin bowling, tennis and an indoor trampoline centre. There are burgers at Pit Stop, The Common or Penny Lane and pizza at Luigis Hot Pizza for dinner, and for dessert, they’ll love the gelato at Al Baccio or Gaya.

Tourist Stuff.  From the villa, you can easily explore other parts of the island. Make sure you visit Tanah Lot Temple (for sunset photos), Ubud’s famous Monkey Forest Temple or the Campuhan Ridge Walk,  Uluwatu Temple, Jimbaran Bay (for seafood dinner on the beach), Kuta Beach and Canggu’s popular Batu Bolong area.
